This photo was taken at Port Lincoln
Airport in late December 1970. We were departing Port Lincoln
for the 9th Australian Jamboree in Leppington in New South Wales and
were part of the South Australian Scout contingent. The six of
us were Sea Scouts from the Port Lincoln Sea Scouts Group led at the
time by Alan "Tunna" Jones. That's "Tunna" as in big, rather
than "Tuna" as in fish! If you are looking for
somewhere to stay in Port Lincoln, Wayne might suggest you stay at
the
Mariner's Cay Apartments which are located at Lincoln Cove.....
