Gavin & Judy
These are Kingsley's rellies in Carnarvon; just let us know where your rellies live and we'll visit them too! |
Upside down river
The Gascoyne River at Carnarvon. Dry on top, but they get the water from under the sand all year round |
Artistic shot
Some pink flowers at Carnarvon the name of which escapes me.... |
Hot tubbing
In the Francois peron National Park (Shark Bay). The water comes out of the ground at 44 degrees centigrade |
Big Lagoon
We had the Francois peron National Park to ourselves, perhaps becuase everyone else had been blown away in the night.... |
Monkey Mia
You can see Max's hand and shorts feeding a dolphin. |
Pelican

Shell Beach
And boy, are there some shells there. The whole beach is made up of shells. Shell beach is at the southern end of Shark Bay |

And more....

Just missed
The reason Max has a funny face is that he has just been swooped by one of the parrot in the walk in aviary. It's like they wait for you to walk through and then whisk past in numbers |
Golf anyone?
Just our luck, adjacent to the Tudor caravan park in Kalbarri |
Kalbarri sandhills
Yes, we had just driven down and it is as steep as it looks, Ian from Kalbarri Sandboarding reckons it is 45 degrees |
Max first
Steep and fast, this is the Superbowl |
then Greg
Note I had the brakes on just a bit...... |
A fine day in Kalbarri
The Tudor is a very nice caravan park and super friendly to those who camp in tents and don't need power |
Pinnacles
Got there a bit late, but still got some nice shots |
Sunset over the Pinnacles
Just south of Cervantes which is just south of Geraldton on the WA coast |
Night drive
75km, 6 hours, by ourselves, at night, never been there before, this was the challenge to get from the Pinnacles to Lancelin via the coastal track. The terrain is a lot like Sleaford to Wanna and just as much fun. Ok, so I had the GPS hooked up to the topographic map on my laptop to make things a little easier.... |
Sandy track
Night flora
OK, so it was a bit hard to see the plants and bushes on the way but we did see several hundred kangaroos including some biggies |
Beach camp
Got to Lancelin around 11.30pm, tied the tarp to the side of the car and threw the mattresses underneath. And then it rained in the morning didn't it!! |
Dog city
Max was very pleased with the number of dogs on hand at John & Elaine's |
