Max Goes North

Darwin to Lake Argyle

Barra & Chips on Fishermen's Wharf in Darwin

Clockwise from left: Cathie, our hosts Linda (NT's best netball coach) & Ken (he teaches and sings but not necessarily in that order) Brodie, Greg, Deb (Australian Netball umpire), Graeme & Katrina. Barra & Chips was the go and the sunset wasn't bad either!

Max, Lachlan, Cameron & Elke

At Fishermen's Wharf, Darwin

Max gets a Tattoo

At the Mindl Beach Sunset Market....OK, it's not a real tattoo, but it looked pretty gross so Max was happy!

Max Flies High

Also at the Mindl Beach Markets, he wasn't too crazy at first but the operators got him going up, up & away

Max gets a hand

Max had plenty of attention from the operators who were very impressed that he did not have to go to school for a whole term!

Cathie's CD Launch

Ken & Cathie spent an evening cutting a CD with a song by Cathie and some music written (and sung) by Ken. Get your orders in early if you would like a copy!

At the Brodie Ranch

And a very nice campsite it was too! Grass sites, shady palm trees and ferns, hot and cold running water, swimming pool, free entertainment, very attractive hosts (well, OK, not Ken) and a great time had by all for a week in Darwin.

To get to Twin Falls

You have to cross a river with a paved surface at the crossing but quite a few of the pavers are missing. Graeme did not even get his feet wet!

Don't do this at home

We were a lot naughty and went a bit close to the water's edge at Twin Falls in Kakadu and got told off on the boat trip back..... Our wet clothes gave us away apparently.

Elke at Twin Falls

Elke did not get told off, just me.....

Greg get's his new tyres wet

But not my feet, this crossing is on the way to Twin Falls

Cathie's Hair Boutique

At Limestone Gorge in the Gregory National Park. A lovely shade of red henna or somesuch. Note the stylish outfits Cathie's assistants are wearing.....

Greg crossing the East Baines River (again!) on thre Bullita Stock Route in the Gregory National Park

Lake Argyle

Elke & Max atop the dam wall at Lake Argyle

Elke diving into Lake Argyle at sunset

And this was just after the tour guide told us about the 25,000 freshwater crocs which inhabit Lake Argyle!

Max bombs Lake Argyle

Again at sunset and just after the crocodile talk.....

Greg swimming with his friends

In Lake Argyle. Just like a thermal pool only colder......
