With recent model computers, the sound card is usually
incorporated on the motherboard, so you won't be able to take out
the existing sound card when you fit your new card. Even if
you attach an external sound card like the SoundBlaster Extigy,
you may still have to disable the internal sound card. Check
with your computer supplier, or refer to the motherboard manual
which came with your computer to work out how to disable the
on-board sound. |
