Video Cards
also known as graphics cards or VGA cards |
|
If you are
considering upgrading or replacing your video card, you will need an
available slot (AGP or PCI-E) inside your computer. Each video card has a unique set of software
supplied with it, known as a video driver, and even with a brand new
video card you may still need to download the latest video drivers
from the manufacturer's web site. If you plan to install the
video card yourself, it is helpful to already be familiar with the
interior of your computer, otherwise we are very happy to install
and configure your new video card at our normal rates. |

A
word from Greg ... |
|
 |
| Your
choice of video card for normal computer use is not terribly
important, even the integrated video cards which are supplied with
many new computers these days are excellent for general purpose
use. The new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system uses
graphics for some of its features, so you may wish to upgrade
your video card sooner rather than later.
Of course, if you are a computer games enthusiast, you
will probably want to upgrade your video graphics card every year! |
