Flatbed Scanners |
|
If you are looking for a
good quality scanner for work or home, it is hard to go past the
Canon LiDE 25 model, which is also a great general purpose colour
scanner. If you are planning to scan from
slides or negatives, there are a couple of great choices from Epson,
but you should also consider a multifunction printer/scanner/copier
which allows you to print, scan & copy in black or colour.

A
word from Greg ... |
|
 |
| When
scanning for email, the default setting for most scanning software
is fine, and is usually between 75 and 100 dots per inch.
This gives a reasonable viewing size and a smaller file size to
email, particularly if you save the file in JPEG format.
However, if you wish to print your scanned images in good quality,
you will need to scan at 300dpi or higher. |
